have any of you ever been in a relationship like this? my gf is a catholic and is waiting until marriage(however, she bends the rules..a lot. which probably makes a difference), i used to want sex but ever since i began dating her i have decided that i will wait for her. my friends cant believe this and think im crazy for being in a relationship where i dont get to have sex but its not that big of a deal to me. everyone told me "you'll be cool with that for a couple months but just wait" but its been almost a year and i really dont care. i dont know what my question is really, i just think its weird that my friends think im so crazy for waiting for her or w/e

Sure sex matters, but it's not everything. People put too much emphasis on sex. If you love someone, sure sex is an added bonus, and is wonderful when two people truly love each other, but what if you couldn't have sex for physical reasons? You have to have other common interests and most importantly love.
